FFP Background: In 2013 and 2014 a time study pilot was
conducted to gather feedback from MAP sites in order to assist with the
development of the Medicaid reimbursable tasks performed by I&A
staff/options counselors and accounting processes as well as to pilot
collection methodologies. Participants piloted time study methodologies, code
definitions, and data gathering methods.
Beginning in 2016, MDoA will run daily time studies to capture the time spent by MAP staff. MAPs will be
reimbursed for operational costs based upon the percentage of time their staff
spend on approved Medicaid-related activities.
